The screenplay for A Cheerful Gang Turns the Earth. (Yôki na gyangu ga chikyû o mawasu) was written by Maeda, Takashi Hasegawa, and Kentarô Ushio, based on the eponymous novel by Kôtarô Isaka. The movie's cast apparently includes Takao Ôsawa, Kyôka Suzuki, Shôta Matsuda, Kôichi Satô, Ryô Iwamatsu, Kôji Ôkura, Ren Ôsugi, Rosa Katô (Katô Rôsa), Hôka Kinoshita, Sakichi Satô, Kyûsaku Shimada, Suzuki Matsuo, and Yasuhi Nakamura.
Shochiku Co. Ltd. (Shôchiku K.K.) plans to release A Cheerful Gang Turns the Earth. theatrically in Japan in the spring of next year.
