The official Tadanobu Asano has published a series of photos from the set of Sergei Bodrov's upcoming Mongol, in which Asano will play Ghengis Khan. This one shares a producer with Crouching Tiger, Hero and House of Flying Daggers so it's a pretty sure thing that this film will be the western world's first widespread exposure to Asano ... let the invasion begin!

Oh, Zatoichi, Bright Future, Last Life ... he's been out there but always in little films with tiny releases and usually in support roles. This'll be the first time when he's front and center in something that'll get at least a mid-level release ...
I have see: picnic, ichi the killer, last Life in.,Bright Future, Gohatto, Shark skin man and peach..,Gojoe, Vital and same other films of Asano. If Mongol came in Italy, i will see this film, for the fascination of the history of Mongol and because i'm a great fan of Tadanobu
