Those lovely people over at TonyJaa.org have scored themselves an early look at two promo reels prepped for the French Tom Yum Goong website. What's in them? Reel one is basically an extended fight scene - it's the one with the dreadlocked guy you'll have seen in the earlier Thai trailers. Very cool, but not a lot there we haven't seen before. Reel two is the big prize ... it's been edited but all the footage is, I believe, from the single take 4+ minute action sequence that follows Tony through a building, up four levels and onto the roof. There's maybe one shot in this that has been seen elsewhere.
These are large files, so I imagine TonyJaa.org may end up maxing their bandwidth soon. I'll mirror them here if that happens. Here's hoping that delivery notice I got today was my copy of the VCD finally clear of customs ...

Wassup guys and gals, I'm been visiting thise site for awhile now but never have posted. I did get a copy of Tom yum goong from my local asian vidioe game store. It is one bad ass movie. It says it DVD but of course it's VCD quality. Anyways, lighting is bad in some scenes but for the most part it is pretty bad ass. All those trailers you;ve been seeing do this movie no justice. I picke dit up last friday. I don't know how many of you ordered it or what not and if you guys want I can bootleg some copies. Just thought I'd give everyone a heads up that it is out there.
The VCD quality would be because it's a bootleg, mastered from a VCD. No legal DVDs of this anywhere yet.
Yeah, I have a DVD that's a VCD boot, too. I mostly just got it for preview purposes! This is some of the best ass kicking I've seen on screen in quite some time. Needless to say, I'm getting this again when the official DVD comes out. It's THAT good!
Great action, it gets kinda boring in between, Tony jaa doesnt have the charisma tho. He just looks like a regular character with bad ass fighting abilities. The story is weak also. How did a thai cop who cant even speak english became a cop, plus hes corrupt. Other than that, it has the best martial art action scenes ever.
