Not seen it, but here's another of those pretty rare things, an animated series out of the UK (well, a UK co-production with Canada that's about the life of three British School Girls in London) that's intended for an adult audience. Supposedly confuses crudity and bad language as the basis for adult thinking, could give some insight yet we've seen characters similar to this in Vicky Pollard (of 'Little Britain') and Lauren (of 'The Catherine Tate Show'). That said, this is a type of person (so, a stereotype I suppose) in the UK so it's not so much about copying or lack of imagination, as much as it's about a general desire to deal with familiar and recognisable characters, their lifestyle, attitudes and so on.

Some recognisable voices in here, with Stephen Merchant (Co-Writer and star for both 'The Office' and 'Extras'), Graeme Garden (of 70's wackiness 'The Goodies' - still not repeated since then I think, or completely out on DVD), Doon Mackichan (of Channel 4's all-female 'Smack the Pony' sketch show from recent years) and Gina Yashere (a stand-up with a recent resurgence in popularity due to some reality TV and a stint alongside Lenny Henry in his latest sketch / stand-up series). Suppose it is an attempt at another Asian / Black culture show, not that frequent in comedy terms, and with few successes to boot. Wonder if anyone’s been watching this? Should have aired in several countries now, Hattricks Productions being particularly well known and respected. The animation is a familiar style that's similar in its values to 'Monkey Dust' or 'Pope Town', the humour could be just as coarse.

There have been some Goodies DVD releases in the UK.

yes, they've released two compilation DVDs = like I say, not completely out on DVD (at least not in the UK), and the BBC think the shows dated badly - dated but not a classic? well, we watch other stuff that's dated simply because it represents a time and because we have good memories of it.

I've caught this a few times (randomly, and strange that it's more than once since I hardly ever watch TV) and mostly enjoyed it. It's pretty silly, obviously. I wouldn't say it was aimed at adults; more like, teenagers who want to watch shows they think are aimed at adults, or something.

Its classic from the first episode if it was aired more than once at about midnight on channel 4 in england it might kick off, its the anwser to english animations none of the oh yay wallace and gromit in a crappy cheesy nasty film. Its more accessible than south park or simpsons or all the terrible american animations

Fantastic. One of the best shows out there. At least as good if not better than Simpsons and South Park. Anyone who doesn't like it is lacking a sense of humour.
