We've been tracking the progress of Russian sci-fi flick Paragraph 78 for a little while now - check a synopsis and some stills here - and I had a very pleasant surprise waiting for me when I checked the mail today: the film's producers sent us three DVDs filled with dailies, a completed scene and about a hundred behind the scenes photos to share. I've opted to post just the finished scene - a sort of cat and mouse chase bit - and my personal favorites of the behind the scenes shots and leave the dailies alone as a good number of them ended up in the finished scene anyway. If people want 'em I can post more of the pictures ... as far as I know this is the first place you will see these in the world, Russia included.

Yeah, I think it looks pretty good ... any chance you could translate that dialogue for us if you get a minute?
Black guy is telling bad jokes, like
-What did the president's son told him before the nuclear war? Hey, Dad! What's this red button?
Another guy taunts him, saying that he is funny just by the fact of his existance, without the jokes.
At the end, when black guy sees some blood of this other soldier, he says: "You bleed, so you can be killed after all".
Russians start make good movies, huh? :)
