I know lots of people really like the series which is currently getting its R1 release stateside, and the official site has been up for ages... for me the best way to tell if something is of interest it to watch a little footage of the film. This also leaves you open to manipulation, but there you go. You take the risk.

Looks awesome, saw the entire series (first anime series I ever watch) and I hope the movie is as good or better than the show. The show managed to make me think of the military a lot (I joined the US Marine Corps last summer).

I'll do anything for the movie...except maybe death...and limps getting cut off and..... okay so maybe i won't. But does anyone have an idea when the fansubs start coming online?
