Yeah, this one made me squirm ... a cheery tale of a serial killer / cannibal who preys upon small children in Thailand. Production design looks fantastic and there are some shots in the trailer that made me just about as uncomfortable as anything in Fruit Chan's Dumplings and for similar reasons. The full website exists in both Thai and English versions and includes a good batch of video files, plus an extensive gallery, on top of the official trailer.

The main taboos in horror films, I'd say are children and the elderly dying in an undignified manor... you just don't see that sort of stuff in horror. I'm not saying these taboos need to be broken. On the contrary, to confront that as exploitation just wouldn't happen in mainstream, with underground horror…no doubt, but shock for shock's sake??? Aren't we past that…Culturally. If it aids the narrative and is handled with a bit of morality then I'm ok with it. But curiosity is a terrible thing ;)
I’ll check out the sickest of the sick then make my own decisions whether I accept it or not.
The whole "Snuff" subject, to me, isn't shocking anymore but still remains pretty taboo. With flicks like Tesis and 8mm, its good the way they use that subject as a basis for the story and creates, all in all, a pretty disturbing movie experience (see Bruno Mattei's Snuff Trap for a more sleazier version of 8mm). But the “Fake snuff” is its own genre in Japan. It’s own fecking industry. Material like that doesn’t really shock or interest me anymore, even flicks like Rusted Body, there’s a certain level of curiosity with them but essentially, I don’t really feel the need to want to watch it….Jeeze, but there was a time. I’m just glad I came out of it all with a level-ish head

well, the fake snuff stuff has a certain amount of interest... but i am more into it as a theme... i hear "snuff trap" isnt up to much and matei is pretty much hit and miss... as for "shock for shocks sake" well, theyre films so theyre often in that territory of "for the sake of it" - especially in horror...
i like "untold story" though... for some reason...
generally my tastes are for much more substantial stuff, and if its light-hearted i am more into the production values (beautiful anime for instance)... but theres another trap - often theres little info on such things done by people who have the perspective of watching other stuff to contrast it against... so anime just melts for me (largely) and horror, even though manipulative and so on, offer something more substantial even when calculated or predictable to a large extent...
Very bad movie, filled-up with clichés, one of the worst directing skill ive ever seen. no style in that work, no deepness, very basic job, in fact its worst than a basic job. the acting of the journalist suck, you cant even imagine it.
