Are You Local? Royston Vasey Release Date ...

Logboy just dropped a note to say that the current issue of Total Film lists June 10th as the release date for the just-wrapped League of Gentlemen feature film Royston Vasey. Don't know who the League are? Shame on you! Shame! They're only one of the UK's finest comedy exports, with members of the League of spotted slumming about with the Little Britain and Shaun of the Dead folks and, more recently, Dr. Who himself. Seriously this film will be to 2005 what Shaun of the Dead was to 2004 ... we're hoping to have an interview with the League's Mark Gatiss in the can and posted here by the end of the week ...

It's done already? Bloody hell.
Let's hope it's better than the third series.

I thought the third season was brilliant, and probably one of the more ambitious seasons as far as british comedy goes. I can't wait to see what they've done with the film.

An interview with Mark would be a fantastic bonus to this bit of news, I just hope you're not teasing me.

Nope, I'm not teasing ... he's been sitting on a batch of questions I emailed him a while ago. He's here in Canada for the next week so we're going to try and nail things down by phone while he's in the same time zone ... he's got a bunch of stuff in the works that I want to ask him about as well as League stuff ...

I think the 3rd series was the best too, but why have the BBC never repeated it. They repeated the 1st & 2nd series about 50 times.
