Sweet merciful crap! Tarantino wants more Kung Fu!

My body is convulsing to an ecstatic delight at this news. BBC NEWS is reporting that before Tarantino films his homage to 1967's Dirty Dozen, titled Inglorious Bastards, he is going to film a kung fu picture totally in Mandarin. And for his illiterate or lazy fans he will then dub that film in out-of-synch English. Huzzah!

"He just wants to make a genuine martial arts film with all the ideas he has spilling over from shooting Kill Bill," said Mr Dinning.

"His new kung-fu project has Tarantino written all over it - a mix of the barmy and the brilliant that film fans will be excited about seeing."
- Total Film magazine editor Mark Dinning

Tarantino has already proven himself to be not only a fan of the genre, but a learned student, with his Kill Bill series. He will treat this film with the utmost respect and care that it wholeheartedly deserves.

No word on cast or crew but you can bet that we'll see some very big and cool names in the future.

Personally, I think we need to see more Chiba.

Very interesting. I loved Kill Bill, but it would be nice to see Tarantino do a Kung Fu movie that isn't just one big tribute.

Or a movie that was more inspiration and less imitation. Does the world really need another Tarantino-ized martial arts flick?

Well, we will find out soon enough. I think the audience will be much smaller thanks to Kill Bill. KB would have weeded out the curious and those not familier with the kung fu genre. If you knew nothing of the genre before you went into KB 1 & 2 and you didn't like it then you can give this one a miss.
