THE EDITOR: Astron-6 Lay On The Blood With The Teaser For Their Toronto Selected Giallo Comedy

Todd Brown, Founder and Editor
They've gone from a group of friends making fake trailers for movies that never existed to clashing with Troma to now launching their latest feature film - giallo comedy The Editor - on one of the biggest stages in the world. Is it fair to call the rise of Astron-6 meteoric? We'll likely have to wait until we see how audiences at the Toronto International Film Festival respond to The Editor to apply that particular tag but it's pretty damn impressive, no matter what, and now you can get a taste with the release of their first teaser.

A one-time (and now one-handed) master film editor toiling in the cinematic sweatshops of 1970s Italy becomes the prime suspect in a series of brutal murders, in this loving tribute to/parody of the gory giallo thrillers of Mario Bava and Dario Argento.
Adam Brooks and Matthew Kennedy direct. Check out the trailer below.

SWEET, didn't want it to end.

  • So... a jokier version of Berberian Sound Studio?

Love it. Finally feels like the production values will match their ambitions. Good for them!
