Scarlett Johansson Shows Off Her Mental Capacity In Second Trailer For Besson's LUCY

Todd Brown, Founder and Editor
Scarlett's got a great, big brain and she's not afraid to use it. That's the general message behind the second trailer for Luc Besson's Lucy, a trailer that cribs extensively from Besson's own back catalog of films while also nodding - heavily and repeatedly - to the like of The Matrix. Because apparently the mind expanding drugs ingested by Johansson as the title character don't just help her think fast, they trigger a whole new round of evolution that wreaks havoc with the laws of physics.

Also: Oldboy's Choi Min-sik spattered with blood.

It's like she's Neo, but in the real world... hahaha...

  • Adhip

Looks nice, but if she can unleash such 'god power' and so invincible, where's the fun? It will be more enjoyable if an ordinary person can beat such a beast.

  • wangkon936

She needs her own version of Agent Smith!

  • Zeto

It looks nice. Above the average of stupidity of Hollywood films.

what's up with people whining about this "10% of our brain" myth??? do I have to remind you that this is a HOLLYWOOD MOVIE? i wonder what these whiners had to say about "The Matrix" when they first saw the trailer... jeez...

  • 7992

this looks okay I suppose, im just sick of the tagline "we only use 10% of our brain, imagine if we used 100%"
stop perpetuating this myth, some people don't read unless it has a kardashian on the front and those same people find it hard to differentiate between film and reality and believe 'facts' like these are real, I weep for humanity when someone I know tells me this 'fact'

I know a few people are already judging this film because of it's premise but personally I think it looks like it will a decent dumb but fun action film along the lines of Transporter and Taken.

  • Kurt

The more I see of this movie, the more stupid and lazy it looks. After the incredible triptych of 2013 films (Don Jon, Her, Under the Skin) I guess Johansson had to remind the world that she's just as much a "MOVIE STAR" as an ACTOR. Thus 2014's Marvel and Besson flicks.

One year for her, one year for them.

I think we should be careful judging good actors for taking on big silly movies. They might enjoy it immensely, so who are we to complain?
