Crowdfund This! New Sci-Fi Short EIDOLON From Director Of 88:88

When Nashville based director Joey Ciccoline made his 2012 short film 88:88 he enlisted the musical stylings of Makeup and Vanity Set and used their song Never Let Go. Matt Pusti from MUVS followed up and created an entire album for the short film under the same title. Fast forward two years and the pair are collaborating again; except this time the influences have reversed.

Joey, along with writer Daniel Shepherd, are taking the concept of MUVS' latest album Wilderness, exploring loss and grief and humanity in the face of technology and our own finite nature, and are turning it into a new short film, Eidolon

A young man in a mysterious future metropolis works at a feverish pace to discover a cure for his bedridden sister while time is running out.

His sister, a sweet and beautiful twenty-something who is more concerned with her brother than her own illness, doesn't fully comprehend the gravity of her situation despite her brother's warnings.

At the eleventh hour, a sudden revelation unlocks the truth that could save his sister's life, even after she has taken her final breath.

The filmmakers have launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for production costs. You can find more information about the project, actors and MUVS there.

Joey's short 88:88 is also embedded below. The remarkable thing to note about this short film is that everything was done in camera. Very little augmentation was done afterwards. Everything you see was done practically, over a long weekend. Here is hoping that as he raises funds for this new project he can continue to dazzle us.
