It's A Slow Build: First Full Trailer For THE LEGO MOVIE

Jason Gorber, Featured Critic
The film's still months away, but it seems I'm already running out of decent Brick-themed puns. Still, this first full trailer show that the clear nod to many Warner properties (including the obvious ones like Batman and Superman, and even to properties like The Matrix) might either prove to be the most obnoxious film ever, or something with Roger Rabbit levels of nerdy meta-textual fun.

Time will tell. Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the movie is set for release on February 7, 2014, featuring the voices of Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Liam Neeson, Morgan Freeman, and many more. Until then, enjoy this latest burst of Brickmania.

Yeah, I´m leaning towards the Roger Rabbit conclusion......it looks fun with voice acting by Arnett doing a great Bale/Batman impersonation, Neeson as a Schizo cop etc......could be fun.

But if the rest of audience follows......I´m not so sure, thanks Mr Gorber.

The Matrix and Star Wars vibe is obvious, but is anyone getting a hyper-bubbly Terry Gilliam/They Live feeling to some of this? Just look at the generic
