Watch The First Stomach Churning Trailer For SEPTIC MAN!

Todd Brown, Founder and Editor
Monster Brawl director Jesse Thomas Cook teams with Pontypool writer Tony Burgess for Septic Man, a gleefully repulsive picture soon to premiere at Fantastic Fest that I like to pitch to people as a blend of Buried and The Toxic Avenger. How can those two things possibly fit together? We've got the first look at the trailer for you to get a taste. Though you probably wouldn't want to do that in any literal sense.

A transgressive creature feature mixed with the trappings of a super-hero origins story, Septic Man focuses on an erstwhile plumber who undergoes a hideous transformation when trapped inside a septic tank.

Check the trailer below and spare a moment to admire the fabulous poster art by Justin Erickson at Phantom City Creative.

    I haven´t seen Buried(2010) or The Toxic Avenger(1984) yet........but Pontypool(2008) was a strange film.....not sure I got that movie at all.

I was thinking more about Darkman(1990), The Crazies(1973) etc.....it does look interesting though, thanks Mr Brown.

You know, for something that obviously began life as a scatological joke, this trailer feels remarkably earnest and tonally mature. Dare I hope they've attempted to make a real horror movie instead of just another trifle that banks on the deniability of camp?
