Watch Tony Jaa Like You've Never Seen Him Before In ONG BARK: THE BEGINNING

File this under the "What the?!" video of the day.

While always playing the no-nonsense valiant hero in films, Thai action star Tony Jaa reveals an unusual goofy side of himself in the parody short Ong Bark: The Beginning.  It's got a Michael Jackson-esque dance sequence, the return of David Ismalone as Mad Dog from Ong Bak and a chicken.  Perhaps Jaa can branch out to comedies in future projects?

I think it's Tony Jaa trying to get out from his comfort zone. Making a new image. While it's a good intention, it's kinda awkward since he's like doing 2 things : dance and fight not a dance-fight or a fighting dance. Hope I use the correct term :) Something like Pana R did well in 'Raging Phoenix' : mixing b-boy dance and muay thay.

And his expression is more like comical than funny. Well... he is not famous because he's strong in acting department...

I think it's more like: watch Tony Jaa and friends hanging out and making a backyard video. Don't look at it as an official comedy piece, per se, just a candid look at a bunch of goofs making something that, for them, was probably a blast to make.

Well i think its good to see him have fun again, means he is really back into it and can only be translated in better performance. :)

    This was supposed to be...funny...?

I do think the Michale Jackson dance was to be funny .. they just did this for fun thats all.

    Isn't it always is?

That was awkward to watch, it has the same feel as Star Wars Holiday Special (best left buried).. However can't wait to see Tom Yum Goong 2..
