Penélope Cruz-Directed Lingerie Promo Deemed Too Risqué By YouTube

Carwyn Jones, Contributing Writer

Spanish actress Penélope Cruz recently donned the director's hat for the first time, and, in the process, fed the world of straight male fantasies a few more of the usual cliches. Lingerie client Agent Provocateur is probably happy with the promo spot, titled L'Agent (below), but Spanish daily El País says that YouTube is less thrilled -- they have censored the promo for being too explicit.

The narrative is as straightforward as it gets: a man arrives at a party chock-full of long-legged women and lo and behold, when he puts on a special pair of L'Agent glasses, he's able to see right through the women's clothes to their lingerie. Spanish hunk/actor Miguel Ángel Silvestre and Russian model Irina Shayk appear, as does Cruz's heavily pregnant sister.

Given the set up, it's little surprise that the end result is just scantily clad models cavorting around what is reported to be the actual home of the Cruz sisters.  Keeping it in the family, there's even a cameo at the end for husband Javier Bardem.

Cruz can certainly handle the visual aspect (most likely inspired by Almodovar), all she needs is a good script and cast (Javier Bardem guaranteed) and she'll likely succeed.

Dare I say that if it weren't for Penelope Cruz directing it, no one would speak about that piece of macho crap?
