Watch The First Trailer For Jeunet's THE YOUNG AND PRODIGIOUS SPIVET

Todd Brown, Founder and Editor
Are you ready to see what happens when Jean-Pierre Jeunet delivers his particular vision of Americana? Because that's what's coming in his first 3D film, an adaptation of Reif Larsen's The Selected Works Of T.S. Spivet starring Helena Bonham Carter, Kathy Bates, Judy Davis, Callum Keith Rennie, Dominique Pinon and Kyle Catlett.

A 12-year-old cartographer secretly leaves his family's ranch in Montana where he lives with his cowboy father and scientist mother and travels across the country on board a freight train to receive an award at the Smithsonian Institute.
The first trailer for the film has arrived in France and it's every bit as charming as you would expect. Take a look below.

Hope we get to see it in Ireland, love Callum Keith Rennie such a fantastic actor.

How come nobody seems to remember Jean Pierre Junet making a big deal out of Micmacs being his last film, and that he would never make another?

  • Mark Savage

    Looks great!

  • Juan Andrés Valencia

I just found out about the existence of this film through the IMAX website. A film from Jean-Pierre Jeunet shot in 3D about a child cartographer? Count me in!

The narration of the kid reading his letters reminded me of Moonrise Kingdom. The film looks wonderful!
