Theatrical Trailer For GHOST IN THE SHELL ARISE: GHOST PAIN

Todd Brown, Founder and Editor
The latest entry in the hugely popular - and for good reason, they're great - anime series Ghost In The Shell hits Japanese theaters June 22nd with the arrival of Ghost In The Shell Arise: Ghost Pain.

A series of four fifty minute movies, the Arise arc of the Ghost In The Shell story will play out as a sort of prequel to the already known stories, telling the tale of a young Kusanagi Motoko and how she was recruited into Public Security Section 9 in the first place.

A theatrical trailer for the Kise Kazuchika directed first film has arrived and it's looking very good. Take a look below.

I'm really looking forward to this! I love both S.A.C. series, so my expectations are high for this...but until now everything looks very promising. By the way...am I the only one that really likes Motoko's new look?

  • Hiroaki Johnson

I hope for this to be good, but I can help but feel it's going to pale before S.A.C.

The previous teaser and the opening credits didn't do much for me. But THIS looks interesting!
