First Footage of SNOWPIERCER Revealed in New Behind The Scenes Teaser

We've been waiting for a while and now the first footage from Snowpiercer has finally surfaced in the form of a mini teaser/making of video (without English subtitles for the moment). We don't get a huge look at the film but its scale and ambition are evident, and technically the film looks stunning as we see a number of complicated behind the scenes setups and large scale fight sequences.

Sadly Snowpiercer was not finished in time for Cannes but it is still aiming for a summer release. Given the cast (Chris Evans, Tilda Swinton, Song Kang-ho, Ed Harris, John Hurt and many more), director Bong Joon-ho (Memories of Murder, The Host), producer Park Chan-wook (Oldboy, Stoker), a strong sci-fi premise and now our first actual glimpse at the finished product, it's hard to overstate how excited we are about this film.

Distributor CJ has said they will iron out their release strategy in mid-May, so by then we should know when we'll get to see it and perhaps they'll give us a cleaner look with a full trailer as well.

I concur that Kang-Ho Song looks like a badass! Such a great actor.
It's nice to see all these amazing Korean directors getting world-wide attention this year.
I'm really excited for this film and I have no doubts it'll be better than Kim Jee-Woon's The Last Stand.
I really enjoyed Park Chan-Wook's Stoker but I couldn't help feel a little let down by it. Maybe I hyped it up too much in my mind?
I'm trying not to do the same with Snowpiercer but it's getting hard not to.

If it is half as good as 1985's RUNAWAY TRAIN, I am in line.

I keep telling myself this will be a staggering disappointment, because I'm afraid to hype this one too much in my own mind. But what I see here... WOW!
