Sometimes the expected news is the best news. Surprising a grand total of nobody, and on the heels of massive season premiere numbers, HBO has officially renewed Game Of Thrones for a fourth ten episode season to run in 2014. C'mon, HBO, just go ahead and book seasons five and six while you're at it. You know you want to.

They should just give the show the ax so then everyone will have to read the books to finish the series.

...or be left hanging forever when he never finishes the books.

That sir is a very real possibility.

HAHA yeah I totally am. I got tired of waiting between season 1 and 2 so I picked up the books. I highly suggest others do the same. I still enjoy the show, I just know A LOT more about the history of Westeros (and Essos) than the average viewer.

  • See, I totally plan on reading the books but I've more or less committed (in public, even) to reviewing the entire run of the series from the perspective of someone who hasn't read them. Which means I could read up to the current storyline, I guess, but I have no faith in my own ability to stop at that point and from what I understand that's going to be progressively harder to do, anyway, as the structure of the show diverges from the structure of the books ...
