TORONTO AFTER DARK Calls For Entries For Its Eighth Edition!!!

Has it really been eight years? Wow. It feels like it was not too long ago Todd and I were sitting down in a local pub with festival director Adam Lopez as he described his dream of bringing a full-on genre festival to the city of Toronto. Seven zombie walks, one Summer-storm power outage, and temporary venue change later, the festival organizers are looking to once again gather Toronto's 'cinemaniacs' under the roof of the hallowed Bloor Hot Docs Cinema for nine nights of genre goodness from the festival circuit and around the world.

Toronto After Dark announces Call for Horror, Sci-Fi, Action and Cult Film Entries!

Toronto After Dark Film Festival has just announced its 8th Annual Call For Film Entries. The critically acclaimed fest runs for nine thrilling nights in Toronto, Canada this October 17-25, 2013 and welcomes submissions of all forms of genre cinema including horror, sci-fi, fantasy, animation, crime, action, cult and documentary films, both short form and feature-length. The final deadline for this year's entries is June 7, but filmmakers are strongly encouraged to save on entry fees and submit their films before the Early Deadline of April 12. Filmmakers can enter the fest at Withoutabox.com or directly at the festival website.

With your acceptance into Toronto After Dark comes the challenge to top the antics of the lads from Resolution, the seductiveness of Amercian Mary's Soska Sisters, and give shorts programmer Peter Kuplowsky the opportunity to outdo his intro to Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning
