Scott Adkins And Randy Couture Are Going Sailing To A DISTANT SHORE

Andrew Mack, Contributing Writer
I was talking with some lady friends the other day about the movie Dead Calm; about the scene at the end where Sam Neill is washing Nicole Kidman's hair on their boat after escaping certain death at the hands of Billy Zane. I was talking about how damn intimate and sexy that was and one day I would hope to do the same for my wife (whomever and wherever you are). I divulge to you a desired aspect of a non-existent romance to tell you this. Scott Adkins and Randy Couture will be starring in a similar kind of film called A Distant Shore.

Described as being in the vein of Dead Calm and The Grey, the story centers around a couple who sails into the ocean to commit suicide but are interrupted by the arrival of another mysterious vessel. Before long these two people who were ready to die are fighting to stay alive.

Now we can only speculate as to who will wash whose hair (hint - Scott has more) but there is a sure bet there will be some serious beatdowns on deck in this film. I especially look forward to any close quarters action below decks these two might partake in.

Canadian director Dominic James does not have a lot of films under his belt but his previous film Angle Mort also featured a couple in peril, singled out by a madman. Looks like he is starting to carve himself a little niche here.
