Gaiman's THE GRAVEYARD BOOK Rises With Ron Howard At The Helm?
The director of James and the Giant Peach, The Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline doing another Neil Gaiman story? Oh yes, please. Then the relationship between rights owners, Disney, and the director took a sour turn, they parted ways, and the project was put on hold.
The Graveyard Book is a riff on Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book. But instead of being raised by jungle animals the boy in Gaiman's book, Nobody Owens, is raised by ghosts in a cemetery after his family is murdered. When the boy is older the killer returns to finish the job.
