Have Your Say: Will You Be Watching HALLOWEEN Tonight?

Peter Martin, Managing Editor

In a shocking display of wordwide unity, every cinema in the world will be playing John Carpenter's Halloween tonight! Not really, of course, but it may seem that way.

In the UK, the film is showing at all VUE cinemas this evening -- scroll down this page for listings.

In the US, Halloween has received its widest release in years, with many of the screenings starting last week, though some are yet to be held. Just in my city alone, the Texas Theatre will be showing a 35mm print tonight, followed by seasonally-appropriate festivities; a few miles away, a small upscale shopping mall plans an outdoor screening. And that scene will be duplicated all across the country.

Will you be heading out to see Halloween in a cinema tonight? Or watching it at home? Or will you spend the evening watching another spooky movie? Have you say!

Around the Internet:
  • Urotsukidoji

spent the last few days watching 1,2,4,5,6,7,8 of the original, and Zombie's remake on Halloween night

  • uıɐH ɯɐS

I made it through Demons, MANIAC, and both Halloween movies in HD. Would have loved to see it on the big screen though, had no idea it was showing. Shame.

  • Definitely Halloween, perhaps Trick R Treat or Dracula as well.

  • Watched 'Halloween III' for the first time since the 80s. Good fun. And pretty great widescreen cinematography (had only ever seen it on pan/scan VHS before)

    The Entity (1981) - A classic
Volver a Morir (Wake Up and Die) - A world cinema film
    Hypothermia - USA!

Nope, great as Halloween was, I'm going to watch the highly underrated 'Trick 'r Treat.'
