THALE Director Is KIND OF FISHY

Todd Brown, Founder and Editor
So. Let's say you're an independent European director whose micro-budget feature is about to wrap up a wildly successful run on the festival circuit with an appearance at one of the world's biggest festivals. That film is still taking up enough of your time that you can't really shift gears into another feature but you've still got some creative energy to burn. What do you do?

If you're Norway's Aleksander Nordaas - director of Thale - you gather up a bunch of driftwood and animate it all into some sort of odd aquarium scene. Yup. Wooden fish. Check out Nordaas' Kind Of Fishy below.

Hasn't Gareth Evans just shot a short film too?

  • Finished one and currently in production on a second, actually. Both horror films. In to preproduction on the sequel to The Raid as soon as the current shoot is over.
