Yes, But Will It Include BIRDEMIC? Teaser for THE GIRL Flies In

Simon de Bruyn, Contributing Writer
Thinking of making a biopic that coincides with another major film about the same person? Toby Jones is your man. He pulled it off as Truman Capote up against Philly Seymour Hoffman, and now he's doing it again playing Hitch in The Girl, with Sir Anthony Hopkins as his doppelgänger this time.

Produced by BBC Television in association with HBO, The Girl is a look at the relationship between filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock (Toby Jones) and actress Tippi Hedren (Sienna Miller), which started when he cast her in The Birds, aiming to turn her into the next Grace Kelly.

The Girl is directed by Julian Jarrold, who turned Jimmy McNulty into the creepy killer Fred West in Appropriate Adult

Sounds very good, and with Julian Jarrold, Toby Jones, Sienna Miller sounds even better. Thanks for the trailer, Mr Stone.

I've never been sold on Sienna Miller as anything more than a celebrity clotheshanger, but maybe this role might change that.

Well...I agree with you that her public persona as an fashionista is overshadowing anything else she does. But I think she has done some good performances in the past, like Factory Girl (2006), Casanova (2005). Wether or not this role will be a gamechanger for her remains to see, Mr Stone....but I hope she and Toby Jones & co will do a fine job.

I think Julian Jarrold could nail it. Have you seen Appropriate Adult? Very well done but creepy as hell.

No, I haven´t...but I have seen other films directed by him, Red Riding: In the Year of Our Lord 1974 (2009) , Becoming Jane (2007) , Kinky Boots (2005) etc. Jarrold knows how to direct, so I´m hoping that he is doing good job here.
