New Poster Art For Mark Hartley's PATRICK
He may be catatonic but Patrick is still going to mess you up.
Talk of a Mark Hartley directed remake of the 1978 Richard Franklin directed Australian cult film has been circulating for a good long while now but with the final pieces dropping into place Hartley is now set for a November shoot with the film targeting an October 2013 release in Australia. You're Next star Sharni Vinson takes the lead as the young nurse tasked with caring for the catatonic, psycho-kinetic and obsessive Patrick with Rache Griffiths and Charles Dance rounding out the cast.
If Hartley's name is sticking out to you there's a good reason for that. As the director of Aussie cult film documentary Not Quite Hollywood Hartley is the man responsible for bringing Patrick - and a host of other titles - back into the international eye and if there is anyone in this world who knows and loves this material better than Hartley does, I don't know who that person is.
All this to say that with production now gearing up the first proper teaser poster - as opposed to previous sales art - has arrived and been released to the public eye. And it's rather nice indeed.
