Watch Thomas Jane's Ultra-Violent PUNISHER Short Film

Todd Brown, Founder and Editor
Ladies and gentlemen, it would appear that Thomas Jane wants to revisit The Punisher. Though there don't appear to be any plans to officially bring the character back to the big screen any time soon, Jane turned up at the San Diego Comic-Con with a completely unofficial fan film revolving around the character. The catch being that the fans in this case are Jane himself - reprising the title role - Ron Perlman, Black List writer Chad St John and Rattle And Hum director Phil Joanou.

The complete short is now available online and while it takes its time getting going once it goes it really, really goes. It seems safe to say that if Jane were left to his own devices his personal version of The Punisher would sport an NC-17 rating. Check it below.

That was perfect. If they decide to go the fan-funded route, I will definitely throw some coin into a feature with the same crew.

On my money, the 2004 The Punisher is an underrated film with an excellent central performance by Tom Jane. So I would love it if this great little short film could re-ignite interest in Thomas Jane-starring sequel (highly unlikely now that a reboot has been fumbled).
