Michael J Bassett's SOLOMON KANE Finally Gets A US Trailer

Todd Brown, Founder and Editor
It has been a long time coming for Michael J Bassett's Solomon Kane. When the big screen adaptation of the classic Robert Howard character arrived at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2009 it was with a great deal of anticipation. Unfortunately it also happened to arrive when the industry was in the midst of a major financial squeeze and distributors simply weren't buying. And so, much like Sean Byrne's The Loved Ones - which also premiered in the TIFF Midnight Madness lineup that year and won the Audience Award - Solomon Kane was left to simply sit on a shelf. Which is a shame because it's rather a lot of fun.

James Purefoy plays the title role, a former mercenary who has turned to faith in a desperate attempt to save his soul from the devil. But sometimes evil needs to be fought and in such times what good needs is a man capable of violence ...

The first trailer for the film was unveiled during Comic Con. Check it out below.

This is hardly the first trailer for the film...

Did you not read the article? It is the Official US Trailer. I was never released domestically here in the USA.

  • Qinlong

Yeah sorry for the useless comment, I misread the title of the article.

  • No, you didn't, actually. I added the US later when I realized that wasn't clear.

  • Qinlong

Oh good ! I was starting to question my reading skills...
