Important question: What on earth is Leonardo DiCaprio drinking out of a coconut shell?

Equally important question: How soon can I buy tickets to see Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained?

Former dentist, Dr. King Schultz, buys the freedom of a slave, Django, and trains him with the intent to make him his deputy bounty hunter. Instead, he is led to the site of Django's wife who is under the hands of Calvin Candie, a ruthless plantation owner.

The full trailer for Tarantino's latest - a film that suddenly feels like a spaghetti western spin on Kill Bill - has arrived online and is pretty much required viewing. Check it below.

I really liked the script and thought this could be awesome. But somehow I'm not a big fan of the footage. Much more campy and less gritty than I thought ... the images look a bit cheap, too.

But then, I didn't like the trailer for "Inglourious Basterds" much but the film turned out cool.

I have the good feeling, this is a return to form for Tarantino and likely it will be also his masterpiece.

Not a blow-away trailer, but everything in it looks great.

Answer: He put de lime in de coconut, he drank 'em bot' up.

Still reminds me to "Mandingo", and that's a good thing. Anyway, he's not remaking Django.

i think polished is a better word to choose. this does not look or feel like django to me. sukyaki western django felt more like django. granted i have not seen the film yet. django should be alone, and already a bad ass. not mentored. the casting seems all wrong too. if anything leo should have been django and fox could have been the bad guy. he did use brad pitt last time, but at least pitt it respectable. he doesnt always take roles for the money. he does a lot of smaller films. so this is really the first time a non quality comercial actor has been a lead in a tarantino film. and the whole django of the chain thing is lame. even though this is a western (a django western on top of that) it seems like a sell out film. maybe hes gone oliver stone on us.

Definitely Tarantino's style. To a fault maybe. brian is onto something... This trailer isn't what I expected from this movie, but I am pleasantly intrigued. Quentin, you had my curiosity, but now you have my attention.

There's something about the look of the film that makes it feel especially... "clean" is the only word I can think of. That combined with the fact that this is probably the most star power a Tarantino flick has had upon release (The top-billed cast are all basically at the height of their careers) definitely has me stumped as to how this is gonna play out.

I was all set to freak out about how much I loved this, but I don't actually dig the trailer too much. Something about it feels...awkward to me. Nonetheless, I take that as a good sign and I'm as excited as ever to see this movie.
