US Trailer For Daniel Espinosa's EASY MONEY

Todd Brown, Founder and Editor
With director Daniel Espinosa scoring a hit with Safe House and star Joel Kinnaman all over the film news as the new RoboCop the duo's stellar Swedish crime film Easy Money (Snabba Cash) has finally been sprung from The Weinstein Company vault and will hit US screens on July 11th. It probably didn't hurt that they got Martin Scorsese to endorse it, too.

Directed by Daniel Espinosa (Safe House), EASY MONEY is a Swedish crime thriller based on the international best-selling novel Snabba Cash by Jens Lapidus. Lower-class business student JW (Joel Kinnaman from AMC's 'The Killing') falls in love with a sexy heiress while living a double life mingling with Stockholm's wealthy elite. To keep up the facade of his lifestyle, he's lured into a world of crime. Jorge is a petty fugitive on the run from both the police and Serbian mafia. He hopes that brokering a massive cocaine deal will allow him to escape for good. Mafia enforcer Mrado is on the hunt for Jorge, but his efforts are complicated when he's unexpectedly saddled with caring for his young daughter. As JW's journey ventures deeper into the dark world of organized crime, the fate of all three men becomes entangled and ends with a dramatic struggle for life and death.
This is, quite simply, one of the finest crime thrillers of recent days and the brand new - and quite good - US trailer has now arrived online.

Huh, no Rodney Dangerfield. There, said it, someone had to.

This looks interesting. Good to see Joel Kinnaman in movies. His career could explode after the Robocop remake.

Yeah it does bother me that they don't even hint at it is a foreign film. I agree with Marsh that it IS going to cause the less then knowledgeable film going audience to have some hate towards the film just due to "having to read a movie" syndrome that plagues American audiences.

I am glad it is finally being released over there. We will be enjoying the release of Snabba Cash 2 here in August so let's hope it lives up to the first film.

Grest trailer - love this movie, but it does bother me when marketing types "disguise" the fact that the film is in a foreign language. Yes, the visuals speak for themselves and give a very accurate sense of what the film is about and how it plays out, but there is no demoing that this is going to attract viewers who are unaware that the film is not in English, and may well have a negative reaction to that later on. At some level, this bothers me.

I hope he got paid for that.

Nice trailer, better then the original....also great to see James Ellroy endorsing it...after all Lapidus stole(or was "inspired") everything from him.
