J Hurtado, Contributing Writer
In yet another major coup, Shout! Factory today officially announced the first eight titles for their new retro horror imprint Scream Factory! This new label has been in the works for a while, and home video/horror geeks have been buzzing about potential titles for release, but we can now confirm some incredible stuff and Scream Factory is starting out with a bang!

The first two releases this September from the company will be Halloween II and Halloween III. The former film has just recently been released on Blu-ray, however, this new special edition will include new bonus material along with presumably a better transfer, as Shout! Factory have a great track record. Here are the details:
HALLOWEEN II Collector's Edition Blu-ray & DVD

Starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Pleasence, Halloween II follows the same ill-fated characters as they encounter the knife-wielding maniac they left for dead in the first film. It seems the inhuman Michael Myers is still very much alive and out for more revenge as he stalks the deserted halls of the Haddonfield hospital. As he gets closer to his main target, Dr. Loomis (Donald Pleasence) discovers the chilling mystery behind the crazed psychopath's actions. Written by John Carpenter and Debra Hill, Halloween II is a spine-tingling dark ride into the scariest night of the year.

No word on the details of Phantasm 2, and some of Shout's Blus have been region coded, but not all as far as I can remember. It's up to the licensor.

Don't really see the need to pick up Halloween II after getting the Universal blu-ray, despite how much I enjoy Shout Factory's releases. Especially since Universal release has Terror in the Aisles as an extra (which is why I bought that blu-ray in the first place.)
