Hugh Laurie In Talks For ROBOCOP Villain

Todd Brown, Founder and Editor
It seems like a long time ago now that Hugh Laurie paid his bills by being funny. The UK comedian turned House star tapped into his darker side when he made the move to US television and apparently there's no turning back now.

Variety brings word that Laurie is now in talks to take on the villain role in Jose Padilha's remake of RoboCop, a film that is gathering an increasingly interesting cast with virtually every choice. Should things work out Laurie will join a cast that already includes Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Samuel L Jackson and Abbie Cornish.

Well that came out of left field. This might be the best news yet for the project.

Glad to see that Hugh is moving on from House and attempting some completely new stuff. It should also be interesting to see him back with Fry for Wilde's The Canterville Ghost.
