Happy Birthday, Tyrion Lannister

Todd Brown, Founder and Editor
Peter Dinklage may be small but if you fuck with him he'll cut your legs off with an axe.

The talented actor has been a favorite in the indie scene for years now but his role as Tyrion Lannister on Game Of Thrones has vaulted Dinklage to an entirely new level of acclaim, the actor scoring Golden Globe and Emmy awards for his work on Season One and a similar run seeming likely for the just concluded Season Two.

And today Dinklage gets cake. It's his birthday, with the actor turning 43. What's your favorite pre-GoT role for Dinklage? What's your favorite Tyrion quote?

i definitely agree his performance in "The Station Agent" was where

i first noticed him... and even his minor role in "In Bruges" floored

me in a hilarious way. but his acting chops in GoT is mesmerizing.

Sorry. That was Jordan Prentice. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0696015/

    Happy Birthday, Peter!

Favorite role for Peter before Game of Thrones: his appearance in ELF is hilarious! He is always good.

So glad he has such an important role in Game of Thrones. His character really anchors the first book. And I won't spoil anything except to say he will knock us all out in the third season (assuming the writers stick to the books!).

Favorite line: "Never forget what you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor, and it can never be used to hurt you."

A buddy of mine is trying to convince me to watch Tiptoes, using Dinklage as a selling point. He's good and all, but the movie sounds awful.

"What's your favorite pre-GoT role for Dinklage?"

I guess it would be The Station Agent (2003) or Find Me Guilty (2006)....but I haven´t seen that much of him.

Elf (2003) he had brief cameo, supporting part that worked well.
