Gorgeous New Poster for RZA's THE MAN WITH THE IRON FISTS!

You Can't Spell Kung Fu Without F and U.

RZA has kept his audience hungry for a very long time, but now the slow drip feed of information is beginning to turn into a gushing torrent of awesome imagery. Yesterday, we were treated to the first official image from his old school martial arts action flick, The Man With The Iron Fists, and tomorrow the first teaser trailer for the film will be debuting online. Today, the film's first poster has landed - again courtesy of RZA himself via Twitter - and it looks great!

The film stars Russell Crowe, Cung Le, Lucy Liu, Byron Mann, Rick Yune, David Bautista, Jamie Chung and RZA himself, along with appearance from a host of others, including Grace Huang, Pam Grier, Gordon Liu and many more besides. How excited are you folks for RZA's directorial debut? And what do you think of this poster?

Totally awesome poster! I almost wish there was a Shaw Bros logo at the bottom somewhere, but great poster! This movie has been in the can for awhile now, I don't know why Universal is taking so long to show us anything, but there was a test screening done and the person who saw it gave it pretty good reviews, saying Russell Crowe stole the show..check it out...

You guys act like Tarantino is the one responsible for the look of this film, this is a straight up old school kungfu Shaw Bros style flick, QT is just putting his name on it.

It simply doesn't matter the quality of this film, acting, visuals, and Russel Crowe, none of these things NOW concern me as the tagline, "You Can't Spell Kung-Fu Without F and U" has made this a must watch.

I salute you, sir, I salute you!

  • I'm trying to temper expectations given how long this was hung up in editing (it was originally supposed to be in theaters about nine months ago) but I'm being won over by everything I've seen so far. Surprisingly I even kind of love Russell Crowe in this ...

This looks like a Wu Xia Version of Wild Wild West, but far better.

Going by the trailer, I must admit I am excited about RZAs version of a Kung Fu movie, although I expected a grindhouse version of the 70ies chop socky.

Just saw this though, what seems to be a cam-version of the upcoming trailer: http://m-arts.info/trejler-filma-the-man-with-the-iron-fists-ekranka/ and I'm not that thrilled. The gun... the guy... No old school, just gimmicky and (hopefully not) like those wuxia/kung fu films (The Warrior's Way, True Legend, Detective Dee.. ect.) with lots of gloss and CGI but with nothing else = no excitement.

The poster looks really nice. But when I see that gun to the far left and that guy to the far right I'm afraid it's gonna be too gimmicky. But the image released yesterday makes it Look promising.

I thought RZA's "Wu-Tang Vs. The Golden Phoenix" looked great and I hope this one also will use lots of practical effects and that typical old school editing-style and just look better.

Hi Seasons, we had to take down your second post because it contained a link to that leaked bootleg-teaser. Appreciate the thought of sharing but we're not allowed to put that clip on a page just yet.
