Ladies and gentlemen, this man is going to pilot a giant robot to fight giant monsters.
Total Film have run an interview with director Guillermo Del Toro, included in which is the above image - the first official shot of the film, one featuring Idris Elba in what I can only assume is giant robot piloting gear. Ron Perlman, Charlie Hunnam, Charlie Day and Rinko Kikiuchi also star.
Pacific Rim is due to release July 12th, 2013.
