David Cronenberg And Sam Raimi Join Forces For KNIFEMAN
David Cronenberg is poised to make the move to television and he's bringing a big name producer with him.
Cronenberg has signed on as executive producer for the new Media Rights Capital backed television series Knifeman and will also direct the pilot. Based on a biography by Wendy Moore the series will follow the exploits of - get this - a self taught surgeon. Weeds and Friday Night Lights writer Rolin Jones will script while Spider-Man director Sam Raimi is also on the producing team.
MRC do not currently have a broadcaster attached for the series but with a talent base and concept like that it certainly won't take long for someone to step up.
