It's been seven years in the making but Icelandic animation studio CAOZ has finally released their first full length CGI animated feature Legends of Valhalla: Thor, which also Iceland's first animation feature and I think, the most expensive film ever made over here.
The film revolves around young Thor, working as a blacksmith and living with his mother, dreaming of a life as a warrior until a magical hammer falls from the sky and the young man is taken on an adventure battling trolls and ice queens.
The film is directed by Reykjavik Rotterdam director Oskar Jonasson and is being released in both icelandic and english.
Took the young one to see it last weekend so expect a review soon.
