Confirmed: DiCaprio In Talks For Tarantino's DJANGO UNCHAINED
Assuming that all involved can agree on the dollars and cents, then you are looking at the face of Calvin Candie - the villain in Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained.
Rumors hit last week that Tarantino was talking to Leonardo DiCaprio about the part and that has now been confirmed, with Variety reporting that the star is now in talks for the role, which means that they're working out contract details. Unless something very surprising pops up,DiCaprio will be Candie.
In a somewhat surprising note the same article mentions that while Will Smith is still the leading option for the titular role, Tarantino is continuing to talk to other actors in case Smith eventually opts out. That bit's not new. What is new is that, again according to Variety, Chris Tucker is a leading option. Yes, that Chris Tucker. Which is a hard, hard pill to swallow.
Christoph Waltz and Samuel L Jackson are both confirmed to be on board as well.
