Watch The First Twelve Minutes Of HBO's GAME OF THRONES
HBO have released the first twelve minutes of their upcoming Sean Bean starring adaptation of George R.R. Martin's epic fantasy Game Of Thrones.
Fantasy is brutally difficult to do well on television budgets so the build up to this has been a mix of hope and trepidation. The hope comes from the simple fact that it's coming from HBO, who had the good sense to cast Bean in the lead. The trepidation ... well ... it's pretty damn hard to come up with a list of television fantasy series that have actually been good. Cheesy fun, there have been a few of those, but not so many that are actually good.
Will this break the trend? Well, the clip they're showing certainly goes a long way to soothing fears. The feel of it is truly epic and I'm becoming significantly more optimistic. Game Of Thrones hits the air two weeks from now but you can check the clip out below.
[Please note: I'm using the embed code provided by HBO's Canadian website since that's where I am. Hopefully this will be viewable in other areas. If not, let me know in the comments below and I'll try to find something more universal.]
