An Edgy, Effective Trailer For Eric Valette's Prison Break Thriller LA PROIE

Todd Brown, Founder and Editor
Eric Valette has proven to be a very frustrating director. His career basically breaks down to his 2002 feature debut Malefique, which is brilliant, and everything he has done since, all of which is significantly less than brilliant. It's been enough to make a guy wonder if Valette was a one-trick flash in the pan, a guy who had only a single good film in him, but that one good film was so good that hope springs eternal.

And it appears that hope may just be rewarded with the release of his latest effort later this month.

Albert Dupontel stars in La Proie, a prison break drama due to release in French theaters April 15th. Despite the presence of Dupontel - a big star - the film has maintained a surprisingly low profile, a point made more surprising by the fact that the trailer is as slick and glossy a treatment of this ground as we've seen since The Fugitive. Slick action, good characters, tightly choreographed automotive chaos ... this thing looks like a big bag of fun. check out the trailer below.
