Let The Speculation Begin: Who Will Joseph Gordon Levitt Be In Nolan's DARK KNIGHT RISES?
[UPDATE: Variety is reporting that JGL will be playing Alberto Falcone - the son of Tom Wilkinson's gangster character in Batman Begins - aka The Holiday Killer.]
It's looking like the Inception reunion tour over at The Dark Knight Rises, with word breaking that Christopher Nolan is currently in negotiations with Joseph Gordon Levitt to join the cast. Assuming they can make the dollars and cents and scheduling work the idea is that Levitt would move onto the latest Bat-film as soon as he wraps up on Rian Johnson's Looper.
Levitt's Inception co-star Tom Hardy is already starring in the film as Bane with Anne Hathaway in as Selina Kyle / Catwoman so the villain quotient would appear to be filled up. Is Nolan perhaps adding a third villain? Or will Kyle just be Kyle and not the Cat? Or will Levitt be someone else entirely within the Batman world? A friend or rival to Bruce Wayne, perhaps? Nobody's saying at this point.
