Watch Shinya Tsukamoto's Animated Short!
Commissioned as a short 'bumper' by the Ca' Foscari Cinema in Venice, Tetsuo The Iron Man director Shinya Tsukamoto has just completed his first foray into animation. Hand drawn by Tsukamoto himself the animation style reminds me a bit of Bill Plympton's darker work though Tsukamoto's signature style and view of the world continue to come through just as strongly in this medium as it does in live action. It's brief but more than worth a look. Check it below.
