Sharlto Copley Confirmed To Star In Neill Blomkamp's ELYSIUM
It's a combination that worked out rather well the first time so why not do it again?
Deadline is reporting that District 9 and A Team star Sharlto Copley will re-team with District 9 writer-director Neill Blomkamp for Blomkamp's sophomore feature Elysium.
Slated to shoot early next year Blomkamp has been keeping pretty quiet on this one, revealing only that it will be a far-future story set on an alien planet and that, once again, it will feature heavy doses of social criticism wrapped up in an scifi action wrapper.
I said when District 9 released that I felt Blomkamp could be this generation's Spielberg, only smarter. We'll find out soon enough.
